No eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind, no color, no sound, no form, no object of mind. Presence.
For a while I had the wrong idea that over-analyzing and questioning my decisions and my self-expression would bring me some kind of desired state of peace. I realized I couldn’t be more wrong. In my work, the need for control could be seen in attempts that sought a mimetical reproduction. These were a response to an unattainable reality that was, in my opinion, too abstract for my efforts to achieve its reproduction. Today, my process leaves out any thought that aims to control or analyze what comes out of me. I only search for an honest relationship with the moment I inhabit and therefore with myself, and everything else takes form after that. These pieces are the result from casualty taking form through my body movement and the material; between my intuition and curiosity and the possible alternatives.
We are what we make, as strange or cautious as it may seem.

Durante algún tiempo pensé que cuestionar y analizar mis decisiones, formas de expresión y a la vida en general me traería, a través del control, algún ansiado estado de paz. La verdad es que no podía estar más equivocada. Esa búsqueda de control se traducía en mi trabajo como intentos de reproducción mimética de una realidad inasible y para ser sincera, demasiado abstracta para mis esfuerzos por replicarla. Hoy, mi proceso va en otra dirección; deja atrás cualquier pensamiento o acto que busque controlar o sobre analizar lo que sale de mi. Lo único que busco es honestidad con el momento que habito y conmigo misma, desde ahí todo lo demás toma forma.Estas piezas son el resultante de la casualidad y el azar a través del movimiento de mi cuerpo y el material. El resultante entre mi curiosidad e intuición y las alternativas posibles.
No somos más que lo que hacemos, por más extraño o cauto que parezca.
